Advantages of Drone Spraying
Precise Variable Rate Spraying
NDVI mapping applies product only where the crop needs it to the centimeter level. Our drones build NDVI maps onboard and adjust application rate in real time, spot-treating weak or high-pressure areas instead of blanket-spraying the whole field without complex manouvers and compacting crop.

The Access Unlock
Steep slopes, waterlogged fields and standing crops - all on schedule. Tractors struggle to get onto waterlogged fields in the autumn or winter, and no matter the time of year tractor-mounted sprayers knock pods off tall crops like beans and oilseed rape wasting yield. Drones fly above the crop - so your spray window isn't dictated by ground conditions.

Zero Compaction, Real Yield Recovery
2-5% yield improvement from eliminating wheel traffic. No tyre ruts, no crushed crop, no compounding soil structure damage. Every tramline a boom sprayer cuts costs you yield. Drones remove ground traffic entirely, recovering that yield and giving your soil a break - season after season.

Lower Running Costs Per Hectare
Up to 50% less fuel and up to 94% less water use than boom sprayers. Drones apply concentrated product at 5-7 litres per hectare, against roughly 100 litres per hectare for a boom sprayer, while covering 15-19 hectares an hour. Fewer refill trips and lower fuel use bring your cost per hectare down.

Drones vs Boom Sprayers
XAG P100 Pro Drone
Coverage Rate: 15-19ha/hr depending on flight plan and weather conditions.
Field Access: No soil compaction, no rutting, works on wet ground, slopes, or where machinery access is limited, no matter the crop height.
Application Precision: Spot spraying, variable rate, target zones via GPS/mapping, reduces overlap. Product forced deeper into crop.
Drift Control: Downwash from rotors can reduce drift, but risk still depends on wind.
Chemical / Input use: Often 10-50% reduction (variable rate, accurate targeting). 10-30 litres of water per hectare.
Tank & Fuel Capacity: 50 litres. Frequent refills needed. Operators arrive with trailer mounted tanks & generators to re-fill / re-charge drones fast.

Popular Boom Sprayers
Coverage Rate: 10-15ha/hr, slower on smaller fields due to turning.
Field Access: Requires ground access, compacts soil, crushes crop, struggles in wet fields and risks knocking tall crops.
Application Precision: Great coverage but overlap is common, less precise in irregular fields.
Drift Control: Drift is a well-known issue, especially at higher boom heights or wind.
Chemical / Input use: Standard rate; over-application common. 80-430 litres of water per hectare.
Tank Capacity: 1,000-6,000 litres typical. Fewer refills. Boom sprayers need far less frequent re-fueling than drones.
